"Wouldn’t International Women’s Day be the perfect time to sell out our first culinary fiction in person event?? Like, this is a day in history when women have joined together to catalyze working class, socialist revolutions across the globe since 1913. It’s more than being a woman CEO or president, it’s literally about women’s collective labor organizing having the power to topple fascism. We have so much to learn from them! March 24th at 2pm, you can join myself and the wonderful chefs Cat (@naturallychefcat) and Kiah (@wildethymebaltimore) for a speculative writing and dinner experiment inspired by the brilliance of Black women culinarians. This experience includes: ✨ a guided DreamLab courtesy of @foodculturecltv 📚 a curated library of cookbooks and zines 🥮 collectively practicing recipes from iconic Black women chefs like @tonitiptonmartin and @leahpenniman 🌱 time to write from a place of inspiration 🍽️ a plant based meal (w/ vegan and gluten free options!) rooted in African diasporic food cultures Who got $5 on it?? 👀 Tag a friend who needs to join our raffle to win a $5 ticket!!"
