Black Femme Brunch is an irreverent celebration of Black queer and trans femmes of all genders. Since 2014, we have created event spaces to uplift Black LGBTQIA femmes and create spaces that center our experiences.
Rainblow is a curated, intentional, and electrifying celebration of the cultural experiences of Black LGBTQIA+ folks for Baltimore Blaq Pride. Since 2014, this irreverent celebration has been uplifting Black queer and trans femmes of all genders, creating spaces that authentically center our unique experiences. As part of the Baltimore Blaq Pride festivities, we have curated an arts and education event that places Black LGBTQIA+ joy, pleasure, and self-expression at its core.
Our mission is to foster enclaves of inclusion, celebration, and freedom for Black queer and trans folks. This event is an opportunity for Black LGBTQIA+ individuals to reclaim their pleasure and engage in learning essential safety skills and tools.
To enhance this cultural experience, we have gathered a diverse group of talented artists and professionals who will support us in crafting easier access points for attendees of the event. Figure drawing sessions will allow participants to appreciate and express the beauty of the human form. Bondage artists will demonstrate the artistry and sensuality of this practice. Dancers and DJs will create an atmosphere of lively energy and celebration. Moreover, sex educators will provide enlightening demonstrations, promoting education, consent, care, and community building. Through hands-on learning and immersive experiences, attendees will have the opportunity to engage at their own comfort level, fostering a safe and inclusive space for all.
We are thrilled to welcome Baltimore's own Dame Sadie, a somatic practitioner and embodied healing artist, who will be present to guide us in exploring embodied consent through transformative practices and captivating demonstrations. With their expertise, we aim to cultivate a deeper connection to our bodies and foster an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
Join us for an evening filled with cultural appreciation, artistic expression, and empowerment. Together, we can celebrate and uplift the voices and experiences of Black queer and trans femmes, creating a memorable event that highlights the talents and resilience of Baltimore's Black creative community.
